No you are not alone, I been in same company for 5 years and on same project on 4 years, I was good employee yet when I resigned there was not even effort of talking taking meeting and what not they were so cool and loving me that they let me go with zero issues. No stress nothing it was a smooth sailing. So I would say yeah it hurts but its lot better than other things that can happen.
Kya itna bura hun mai maa !!!😂 Maybe your manager wasn't your fan. Your manager already wanted to downsize the team and your resignation is a blessing for them. Your manager is also serving notice period or planning to switch soon.

Could be because of two cases :
- If the offer you got from another company is something that they can't match , nowhere even close to it
- If your immediate manager is good and he knows already that you were being underpaid and doesn't want to ruin your career further

No, i think JPMC also has a policy now where they don't retain employees who are resigning. Its just "oh you're resigning? Cool. You can come back later when there are openings. BYE!"
