Am I the only one who finds Bangalore more polluted than Delhi?

Recently moved to Bengaluru and the pollution is much more noticeable here. I know all about AQI but that's an average. On the roads and in colonies the pollution is unbelievable especially from buses that are always spewing black smoke. Especially in residential areas, garbage is burned every day.

You’re right and wrong.

. Bangalore absolutely has clearer air compared to Mumbai and Delhi.

Water is another story. Bangalore and Delhi water sucks. Mumbai is great.

Street cleanliness is poor across all three

On average it has cleaner air no doubt.

But every morning there are full stretches of roads where it's impossible to breath without getting a face full of black smoke from BMTC buses. Maybe my commute is the problem but in Delhi I have never had this kind of experience.

Additionally, Delhi pollution becomes it's signature self in winter, rest of the year it is not that bad.

A few days ago it rained and the weather was beautiful. But on my way home, I had the misfortune of being stuck at a traffic light near a bus which had it's exhaust right next to my auto. Literal gas chamber experience.

And just in case someone wants to say that this is possible in Delhi, not really because all public transport there does not spew black smoke. Maybe because of CNG.

Here for whatever reason, that's not the case. Maybe they don't do pollution checks at all thoroughly. Black smoke being spewed everywhere

Saturation vs Proximity imo. Delhi aur is much more saturated than Bengaluru. But Bengaluru public spaces like roads etc in urban areas are poor in many regards.

Opinion: Delhi Garbage management is much more optimal in terms of apparent cleanliness when compared to Bengaluru.

Bengaluru roads are not that well maintained.

Don't know about pollution, but definitely much more smelly than all other cities i have been. Everywhere there is garbage lying around, much worse smell when it rains.

Having lived in both cities, I believe Delhi has more of PM 2.5/10 pollution and Bangalore has more of Vehicular pollution. Vehicular pollution has a specific smell and more on /near congested roads. PM pollution spikes in winter due to stubble burning (and high round the year, except when it rains)

Few more years, we don't have to worry about pollution on roads(atleast) too much. Already there are several electric buses, things are changing...

depends which area you live in. I find them all equally not polluted
