Am i overpaid? Finding it difficult to switch
Hi, im a product designer with close to 7y experience and getting $4k per month as a remote contractor which is close to 42LPA. While i find im decently paid, most of the jobs im applying are paying lesser, around 35ish. Finding it difficult to get a better pay and interview from a better company. Anyone can help here?
Let me know when you find another job, cause i want yours.
On a side note, I don't think you're overpaid..
You said remote contract role, so I'm assuming you work with US/EU clients. If that's the case your salary is probably on an geo band, and they pay you a higher rate, most likely 20-40% more than Indian companies.
If anything, I'd say you're adequately paid for their standard, and if you plan on staying you could always negotiate higher.
Are the other jobs you're looking at Indian companies? If so, then the salary range makes sense

Hahah! Thanks for replying. Yeah I work remotely for a US company. Makes sense, for them im way cheaper but yeah higher as per India standards maybe.
The other jobs im looking for are in India. I dont really want this contractor role, without salary slips its becoming difficult to anything with banks. Also, dont really go back in payscale. Tricky situation it is

Current org?
