You guessed right, it's an education loan of 10.1L. I have been working for almost 8 months, have cash in bank around ~90k-1L.
Although the good thing is the loan is collateral free and great interest rate of 8.5% fixed and the total loan amount is less than my first year compensation. But it will take 3 years to repay the loan as I have to take care of my parents (sole earner in the family) and I've moved to new city for this job. Will slowly accumulate savings and try to pay the loan off ASAP, my estimate is it will take 3-4 yrs on my income, although if I get raises and bonuses it will be much faster
@TheSourPM how much of your 40L is fixed component?
And what was the hike given when you shifted to Jio?
40L is the sum of my assets.
I’m getting 34L from Jio with 31L as fixed. Kind of overpaid by their standards
Also, I asked for a nominal hike of 20% during this switch
