Allow WFH save environment.
About 4 years I did work from home . My home was in Himachal. Everything was cool, I was supporting my family and local community. Many parents comes to me with their child to provide some basic future guidance. Before Covid I got married and last year I was blessed with second baby. I was enjoying the environment, growing some trees and veggies , joined the gym and taking care of my health.
But God have Othe plans. In 2022 I layed-off in Chandigarh I tried in so many other companies to be in there but got no opportunity, then with reference I joined TCS in Delhi. Life takes like a U-turn. As I hate to live fake life’s in big cities even my wife and parents also but for the future of my children I take this decision.
Now from last 7-8 months I am doing work from office. Life is like about to die here. TCS showing it’s take care of his employees health and they have environment saving and lots off sustainability things. But in real people are just rush to reach office by cars , bikes , standing in metro for about and hour, and posting snaps like they are living luxurious life.
Living in hometown far from metro cities where usually no need of ACs and rush for travelling, Those people are coming to office just to show their appearance and impacting the environment by burning the carbon more then usual. I m like having 9-10 years of experience living a bachelor life here and eating preprocessed and frozen foods and vegetables.
So I’m requesting to IT companies owner especially big IT companies owners like TCS that there are huge number of tools available to track things like productivity of employees and those tools cost you less then the cost of office burn for an employee. If you have micromanaging bugs in your mind those tools are also available. So I suggest to use those things and allow employees to work from anywhere so that they and contribute towards not to destroy environment especially in summer.

You were just too much comfortable in your home environment. You do not have idea that not all people get that opportunity to live in Himalayas peacefully. There are places on earth like hell where people are born and work so much hard to get good sustainable life. Thanks.

It’s not an easy job here in Himachal also. As you are talking about opportunity, Only those people who can burn the cost of living on rent in big cities are able to get the opportunity. There are so many other who may be so talented then those but due to some home responsibility or money problems they are leaving their dreams . WFH not only reduce impact on environment but also give opportunity to those who well deserve.

If we go to office we spend Think a whole lot economics is involved No country will allow this. It hampers the economy of the country big time. Its good for you. You are anle to save but not good for as in whole country.
Builders owners of the buildings PG owners all had a extremely huge losses in covid. Like this if we do WFH banglore will be the city of dead.

I love my coding passion and have it my profession also, love to work with great team and build challaning things but here I am doing more unnecessary things what I love to do . Going office still working remotely with team and client. A client who is not worried about where I am still Delivering the values to him with some appreciations from client.
Join some other org where u get permanent WFH and do coding from ur home town. However mark my words, u r not meant for corporate, forget about team building, environment and sustainability.
Government is also forcing IT company to wfo so that they generate revenue as tax in petrol/diesel and public transport, toll tax
It's so true had same thought tcs speaks hell lot of sustainable living but most of people travel hella diatnce increasing carbon footprint and persnl life forget it
Dude u can anytime leave tcs if u r so comfortable living in himachal delhi itself dont need much people its crowded already
Ya that is what I am saying it’s getting crowded and telling the solution how we can overcome this by WFH and develop other areas of country by spending our earnings their rather then spooling the environment of one city and spending earnings on over expensive things like rent and eating preprocessed, frozen foods.
