Allocation Procedure
What are the steps for getting someone allocated in a Project? Does it require a long chain of approval? Someone who could really explain me this would be very helpful. My allocation is stuck since 2 weeks now, the only response I get is discussions going on / approvals being arranged. I am not getting the exact information where is it stuck, anyone who has faced the same or knows what all are done to get someone allocated?
It may be a case that the project does not have budget available and respective manager is trying to add budget and secure approvals from various teams like finance and IOU. It may sometimes be done in a day, or it can take lot longer. Project size, health, current status, effort overruns etc all matter when someone is looking to approve.
