Allocated to a project which doesn't align with my skillset... RMG is forcing me to take up the project or resign myself. What should I do?

What is the project skillset and your skillset? How long have you been on bench?

Get in the project but initially they haven’t tagged you so don’t perform and tell then your skillset and if they have that you can work. After sometime they will release you. If they don’t then you will not feel bad as you have already explained your aspirations so they can’t force you do as much you can. Hope it helps

Definitely. But, my hope got broken when they reported a false allegation about me... That's why I felt very much uncomfortable to work in that project... Thank you for the idea anyways...

Say that you got a call from different project , so unallocate you from that project

They are asking that how can you say yes to another project when you are allocated in this project. Simply the RMG is playing games with fresher's life stating that freshers are not eligible for requesting things like tech stack and location interests...

You have the following options-
- As suggested by @________________ it's a technical project. Take it depending on the situation with HR. 1a. If you take it for now, keep in mind to take release in the next 3-6 months. Not more than that. 1b. Get allocated, keep working on your skills use Udemy and other resources, and switch in the next 6 months on your desired skills.
- If you don't take it, you will create a scene (to and fro discussions with HR & RMG) but you will have to do the same to get released from a project once you have started working. I'm stuck in a project now, and believe me, creating a scene before allocation has results. Now, the best option I have is to resign.
To sum it up, if you take it, keep looking for a project of your choice either in TCS or outside. If you don't take it, don't give much energy to the discussions, this shall pass, insist on a project of your choice, the noise will be less in 1-2 months and will restart once you reach 6 months on the bench (But again, you should be looking outside by then).

I have to wait for HR's comment on this issue... Even before knowing my name and what I really spoke... The project team escalated me to the RMG stating that I spoke to them in a rude manner... That's why I got fear of taking this project...
