Bro I am telling my story which was more worst then you. So I joined tcs in 2017 August as senior process as BPO 2 with salary package called 3.5 Lpa with 3 years experience and I was past of support team last 6 years each year my salary package was getting increased like peanuts 🥜. Then I realised what I am doing with my career experience is getting day by day however salary is on same page. It's not like that I was a performer in the team. I used to get BBA ABC in band. However there is no promotion initiated by my manager in the TCS. Then I start searching for what I should learn skills and technology for myself so that I should get my package more and more. Then I found that DevOps technology skills, then I found that this technology is good for me and there is not more much coding and I am more comfortable. Then I started searching on the DevOps, tool and technology then I found some YouTube channels such as train with Shubham Abhishek virmala and DevOps shack. I gave my 200% for the DevOps skills learning I found more comfortable then I asked for the project release where I was a part of the last 5 years in the same team without promotion. then I joined the internally devops project for 8 months once I got hands on experience. Then again I ask for the project release stating why they gave me C branding on based of 8 month of my DevOps performance then they released me and I know to the after that I started searching job outside of the TCS and I crack that DevOps senior job profile role and I got my 15 LP package directly from 4.77 to 15 lpa. I know still my packages are not good as per my total 10 years experience but what I understand never be there in a company more than a year and we need to be upgrade our skill so that we can survive in a private job easily. Now my next target is I need to meet my 15 lpa to 30 LP within a year. Guys this is a true story. So this is my humble request to every one please do not be demotivated to try to upgrade yourself as skills and technology otherwise We can't survive in this era..

Bro just I want to say one thing do the research what you feel more comfortable as per the skills you learn, please don't think that if I will suggest or anyone else would be suggest that is easier for you to learn and get upgrade yourself. Please try to understand that you need to understand what you are more comfortable in which skills that your side. If you are asking me the tool and technology definitely I would suggest that you should learn skill like DevOps and there tools, cloud like AWS,GCP, Microsoft Azure.

It's not late.. switch is easy that too in Bangalore .. I have seen people going from 16 lpa to 40 lpa in 2 years. Invest your time in next gen technologies for next 3 months and start preparing for the interview. You can also ask your manager/BU head for salary correction.

What technology you will suggest to prepare?.and is possible salary revision in TCS? They always tell to clear wings for salary upgrade

Salary revision will happen after clearing wings only

I had 3 years of experience in TCS with 4.5 CTC, trying to switch on Data Analyst/Power BI domain, applying for many jobs as possible, no response from anyone.

I have the exact same experience and CTC. Interviews are not scheduled as soon as they know we have a 90 days notice period. Struggling to gather courage and put down paper before having an offer in hand.

Yeah same for me. Atleast if we have one offer we can put papers then try for the best

You can easily switch for this experience. Prepare and give interviews.

SQL, powerbi and Linux will be enough for 5.5 year experience? What all things I need to majorly focus?

enhance you Linux skills and add ansible along with Linux. I can see many opening for Linux. If you are good with Linux then you can easily learn ansible.

You can switch with your skills. I am sure there are opportunities for your existing skill set. You should get a decent hike as well. However upskilling like improving your knowledge in existing skill set or acquiring new skills which are in demand will help you accelerate your growth. Moreover, high paying jobs expect you to have a curious learner mindset, with your knowledge your career path grows as well. Give up the negativity and step up to learn. It doesn't so much matter what you learn initially as it is to start the learning journey and then persisting with it.
