Well it is real. But it totally depends on the person using AI. Right now its a good tool and a great assistant. Its not yet reached independent capabilities which may take 5 to 10 years more.
I find it super helpful with test cases, vulnerability testing, pseudo code, documentation, etc. Infact I am able to do the role of tester, QA, and Tech Audit team with the help of tools. But its only cause of alot of guidance from my client side mentor. The dude trained me inside out. Otherwise I would be a noob with an SSS rank weapon.
But yeah even in our project access to AI tools have made our lives easier and pretty lit. We have seen people especially people who aren't able to adapt to or use AI get phased out as well. My Managers, Manager being a good example. Clients asked the dude to GTFO cause he used AI for the entire work and it gave him hallucinations which the dude without proof reading presented to the clients 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Clients told they want him out.
So yeah it totally depends on who uses it. Pretty same as how one uses the Internet. You can use it right and grow or you can use it wrong and get screwed over.
It might not take 5 or 10 years as it's growing exponentially.
They will regret it soon.
