Ahmedabad IT companies - Is Ahd. a good choice to move from IT perspective?

Tech community is non-existent

Nothing much to do post work, no bars or anything

Pay is less and most companies hire local

No ground breaking tech is being built here right now, most companies are nothing but glorified IT outsourcing companies.

There are a couple of young exciting startups but they don’t offer a startup culture that you see in BLR/NCR/HYD/MUM , they are essentially traditional businesses disguised as modern day startups and work accordingly.
Rest all points I agree except point 2. As Actually I found more things to do in Ahmedabad than when I was in BLR, clubs and drinking just didn't get to my mind more than those street food. (Been living in and out of ahd for 20 years)
Only if you are native of Ahmedabad or Gujarat and you can't work outside Gujarat due to family or personal reasons.
Otherwise it is not recommended as it is not a Tier 1 IT hub like Pune, Bangalore or Hyderabad.
In Ahmedabad, the majority of IT companies are run like a lala company unfortunately, lacking proper IT culture.
Hence it is not advisable unless you don't have any other choice.
The pay is less + work pressure, mostly you will find service based companies here. If you have freedom to go anywhere move to Bangalore or Pune
