If you love outdoors, winters is the best time to be in amdavad. You can run, cycle around riverfront. Lakes are good for evening strolls and dis/connecting.
If you love food, go to old amdavad haveli style dinning, late night street vendors are good, some people like Manek Chowk but I have reservations about that place.
Nearby Gandhinagar offers more sophisticated options. Try Udaipur, mount Abu for more touristy spots.
Navratri is around the corner so probably garba 😆
