I intentionally click on random ads to confuse Instagram’s algorithm and make it show irrelevant ads. This is just to prove that it shouldn’t be easy for Instagram or ad publishers to earn money from me. Do others also do this?

You aren’t using your time wisely. While the ads won’t convert. You won’t get anything relevant in your feed too. Just worsening the cycle. Might as well make most of it and discover something useful, if you really want to hurt them . Delete your account
Because you said i was not using my time wisely. Let me try to explain more. I’m not trying to hurt Instagram. I just prefer to control what I see instead of trusting ads, if want something i can research my option and get it. I don’t needs ads for it. And the reason i am not deleting it because if value i get from it .
For example, I’m deeply interested in Indian politics, and I’ve trained my reels so I hear voices from all parties, get news updates, and discover useful infotainment.
So there are many reasons I wouldn’t delete my account. Maybe I am a bit selfish — I want to get as much value as possible from Instagram without giving anything meaningful back to it.
Just be mindful of the usage is enough. Then Whatever they do to you, won’t impact you
