After upcoming Lay off, this is gonna be new normal same as previous structure. No force to resign, back to old school.
Damage is done. People will think 100 times before joining or being loyal to TCS.
I rather choose to have a different thought actually. They might do this quite often in phases since this new structure of mass layoff will become a norm in TCS. Now that the world knows about the new management, they will have no shame in keeping up with fraudulent malpractices to tarnish the lives of associates.
The management invented this way of working now. It would cascade soon to other tata group companies. HSBC used to do the layoff and pinkslip culture a lot, and the result is whoever is aware about hsbc culture never join on direct payroll, rather go through consultancy so that there is buffer of bench period. TCS has spoiled its name completely now such that senior people who have good technical or managerial grip would never join TCS.
Are you living under a rock? They already made the biggest mistake to force people to resign and even didn’t paid them properly.
People with some sort of sense will up skill and leave TCS otherwise in a few more years they will be in the firing list.

Layoff pause. We need to listen to fake leadership comment on oct 9.they have achieved lot of bad name. Lateral , freshers not interested to take up tcs.
How can you be so sure about it? Is this just another rumour or do you have any solid backing to your claim?
Govt and tcs leadership are bedding together lakhs of people laid off nothing from govt look for yourself is all what we have
