After resignation can we apply for leave ? Will that change the lwd in Infosys?can anyone share info

What I heard is if you apply leave in notice period then your LWD will be postponed by the same days. So many people take leave and wait for 5-6 days so everyone will forget (mostly your approving manager) and then apply attendance instead of leave.
