Trending @Infosys; Advice please 🙏

Chances of getting released from the project with less chance of going into PIP if I am not able to deliver the task and escalations, due to no proper kt and workload

Always keep things in mail

For example, "Please guide me with proper KT and understanding so that I can deliver executables seamlessly".

Drop this to your reporting manager and senior manager, indirectly let them know that you are not being given KT properly, hence it is affecting the work.

That is one way to safeguard yourself.

Otherwise, switch and " Navigate for the next".

the manager is saying you need to do it alone and watch the KT video.

He doesn't want to impact the other resources efficiency due to helping me ( he told me directly).

My team lead is also new so he also doesn't have much knowledge he is stuck in his story but somehow he manages to complete. When I tried to get help from him ,he asked his question from me and I had to clear his doubts. And if i tell him he doesn't know the answer of my doubt as well. The scrum master is not saying anything to him and the manager is saying you have to do this alone..

I don't even fucking care right now if they fire me ...

I know it is frustrating and affects mental health but don't give up, as that will cost you your career and affect you financially.

See, three probable options,

  1. Grind beyond your limits to understand the KT and deliver accordingly.
  2. If they are giving you hell, you also give them hell by raising concern to HEAR (this is an Infy internal initiative for reporting harassment), mark your entire senior management and HR and let them know how pathetic they are making it for you by not guiding you.
  3. Visit LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed or just any organization's career page to get out of this shit hole.

And always remember two things,

  1. This is how these bloodsucking corporate pigs work in the IT industry.
  2. Never become like these corporate pigs when you become a senior.

I hope you get out of this situation soon, just don't give up.

It may late for taking curative actions now

I will ask you to do below things now onwards

  1. Note down what you are doing hourly task maintain everything in details blockers with time spent on eachitem
  2. send updates at EOD to your lead
  3. Take tasks for which you have visibility and understood what need to do in details
  4. Focus on only one item at time
  5. Repeatedly asking leads and his teammates for assistance.
If their is escalation then share everything you have noted , whoever you contacted and blockers you have

Infy has such a cheap manager want to get work done by cheap resources and without knowing their strengths

Some of the points I did which you mentioned above.. Like asking for help from TL and team mates but no one is helping and the manager is saying you need to do it alone and watch the KT video.

He doesn't want to impact the other resources efficiency due to helping me ( he told me directly).

My team lead is also new so he also doesn't have much knowledge he is stuck in his story but somehow he manages to complete. WE have many like you in infy having similar problems. People just bear all pressure and stay loyal to infy only because they have family responsibilities or loans debt.
In your case if you don't have any dependency and balance that will feed you for next 3 months. Then I will ask you to resign without offer and don't give more than 8 hrs to fucking project. And divert all your focus towards interview preparation. Resources with immediate joining has good opportunity now. Also as you are 3yrs exp you will not face much dificult interviews.

Yes

Same with me also. They did not give any KT and expect to work on day 1. There is no single point of contact for any queries also. Worst Infosys account ever

PIP will not get initiated as soon as you release from the project,it will get triggered if your bench crosses 3 months, as you are in a project if you get released you will be considered as experienced talent,so there are more likely changes of getting project calls , so ask your manager for release or ask them to place you in some other available projects

Good to hear .. but he will not release me easily that I know because he will have to find a replacement and there is a 50% chance that the new resource will end up like me.
