Advice on Transitioning to FTE Roles – Market Research/BD Background
Hi everyone,
I’m currently working as an independent consultant with a foreign firm, primarily handling Market Research/Intelligence within Business Development activities for exporting their product in US/EU. I’ve been in this role for the past 4 years, and prior to that, I worked for 3 years at an outsourcing firm doing primary and secondary market research.
I come from a Mechanical Engineering background (no MBA), but over the years, I’ve built strong experience in product research, B2B outreach, and research-driven decision support. I’m now looking to transition into a full-time position and would love to hear suggestions on:

Which product-based companies in India (or global firms hiring in India) would value this kind of profile?

Does not having an MBA significantly impact my chances in such roles?

Any tips for highlighting independent consulting experience during applications/interviews?
