Advice on role changing

I am working in a big data project but not much development/work is there! I know only basic java/python decently good with sql some knowledge in reporting tools . I am developing curiousity to learn java spring boot ! What are my chances to shift to pure java development roles! Overall 8+ years of exp ! Looking to up skill as I am deeply underpaid and tcs neverraise hike above inflation rate looking for learning and finding opportunities outside
