I'm seeking advice on a situation. I was eligible for the Internal Job Posting (IJP) program and applied for a role in Bengaluru, as I need to relocate due to family reasons.
However, after two weeks, I received an email stating that I've been deferred from rotation for six months.
In light of this development, I'm considering requesting a release from my current role to explore other opportunities in Bengaluru.
Has anyone faced a similar situation? What are the pros and cons of asking for a release? Are there any alternative options I should consider?

ask for a release immediately. don't waste time waiting for 6 months. your family needs you in Bengaluru. staying in current role will only cause more stress. better opportunities will come. time is money, and family is priceless.
