Advice on Career

Hello everyone,

I’m a 2025 Computer Science graduate from a Tier-2 college. During my degree, I completed a 3-month internship as a backend developer at a product-based company, working with Java and Python.

Currently, I’m working at SAP Labs as a Tech Support Engineer through campus placements. While I’m grateful for the role, I’ve realized that my real passion lies in software development and AI-focused roles.

I’ve built several personal projects using Java and Python, and I’m actively looking to transition into a more development-oriented or ML/AI role. However, starting my career in a non-dev role has made this transition a bit uncertain and overwhelming.

If you’ve made a similar shift or have advice on navigating this pivot — be it resources, referrals, or personal tips — I’d really appreciate your input.
