Advice on buying a car - TN vs KA registration
Hi everyone, I’m planning to buy a car and need some advice. I currently stay in Bangalore for work but I’m originally from Tamil Nadu. I’m considering buying a car from Tamil Nadu and driving it in Karnataka because I might switch to a company in Chennai in a few years—or I might stay here longer. I’m confused about whether I should buy and register the car in Tamil Nadu or buy and register it here in Karnataka. Are there any issues with driving a Tamil Nadu-registered car in Karnataka? Has anyone faced any problems with cops or rules regarding this? Would really appreciate your suggestions!
Since you are working in tcs, and tcs has office in more than 4 states, so you can yo for BH series number plate that's a centralized numbering system, so no headache for state wise shit
No issues per se in driving a Tamil Nadu registered car in Karnataka. I drove a Delhi registered car for more than 2 years. Just keep a few less than 6 month old petrol bills from Tamil Nadu.
