Advice needed
A friend has asked me for advice, crowd sourcing solutions for him
He is 38, is a 12th pass, left BBA midway to start his own business. Ran it for 15yrs, sold it after severe loss, sold family house too
Currently working in a BPO but wants to do better.
Is willing to learn/ start afresh but needs to work too. For last 2yrs, wife is taking care of everything including his parents
What can he study/upskill? Non technical background person but also willing to learn other things
Please suggest
Go for Certifications like CIA, CFA, CMA US. The ones that can be cracked within a year with a little effort
Can these help in securing jobs with a 12th pass
Dude yes! These are finance certifications. They have equal importance as CA, CMA & CS.
Ask him to learn copywriting and marketing and start consulting on X , LinkedIn.
People are making good money on these
He can actually apply to other companies based on the business he ran earlier. I don't think education will be handicap given he has significant experience of being an entrepreneur. Should try startups
