Advice

So Flipkart will be doing performance based layoffs. I have been placed on PIP. How should I proceed considering I don't have any other offers and not much experience either.

  1. Resign immediately.
  2. Do the PIP completely and then see if I pass or not? I am not in a good financial position currently.

Do PIP, but start actively looking for job Eitherways what the outcome is, it will be best to move

Let's say I fail the PIP. So that means I will be terminated. That looks bad right ? Should I be the one to resign ?

Do you want to weigh looking bad on resume than 2 months of salary while on PIP?

@MeekGlance46 : I was put on pip 3 years back. The boss was an asshole who had a habit of putting all the blame on his team when the category was not doing well. I was given the shittiest brands in the bu and could not do much with them. I contested the pip but the hr and the bu head sided with my boss. The goals for the pip were closed on the mail with hr in cc. I worked very hard for the next 2 months and made sure that I put weekly updates on the mail. And my pip got cleared. 1.5 year back I joined a new team which was earlier headed by the same boss and I got promoted 😉. He had tears in his eyes that day when he congratulated me. Pip can be cleared it does not mean the end of your tenure at flipkart.

What is your notice period? Serve your notice period. Resign before your PIP ends.

Serve PIP, look for jobs, just before 45th day, speak to your manager about the stakes, you resign before PIP ends, you'll get 60 days

Really? Can’t the company override the notice period duration to 0 days and let the person go ASAP?

Do the PIP but figure out other options ASAP

If you apply while you have the job, they can't reach out for background check during the process, you're safer.

Do we get the option to resign voluntarily or are we fired directly ?

I would say serve your PIP and use this free time for job search. If possible during the end of the pip, try to give an excuse and use your earned leaves and then put papers. If you don't use your earned leaves you will only get half the amount but using them gives the whole days pay

You should survive the pay and try to find another gig in your free time.

Survive pip first, have emergency fund and look for job

Layoffs

Laid off via PIP

Today I was asked by Hr to resign, with 60 days notice period. What shall I do to save myself from further exploitation by the firm. Also, if I resign might have to give back my joining bonus as I have completed 11 months
