Address verification fails

What happens if address verification fails during background verification from new company? Will this delay the process, getting correct address and verify it again, or will the offer be revoked?.. I know this vary from case to case, but just want to know if you have seen any such cases, plz share what has happened

They will ask for the new/recent address. Why are people so concerned about BGV?. The main thing they check for is if the exp is real. Most of the time the firm hired for BGV is mostly related to the leadership. To save taxes and siphon money these sort of things are done.
