Activities for 60+

Hi , My mom & dad lives alone and they are retired now .I got married and shifted to a different city.

I was just wondering if there are any activities where they can keep themselves engaged.

Mom is usually unwell and she can’t do much physical activities and so is my dad as he broke his leg and can’t do much of physical activities.

I wanted to bring them in Bangalore but with my current package and living in 1BHK with the expenses I have , unfortunately I can’t afford to bring them here at this moment.

Please give me some ideas.

Gardening , reading books is out of scope for now.

PS - I wanted them to be engaged with something so that they are not sad & they don’t feel alone.

Ask them to go to temple or nearby religious place.

That way physical and mental well being will be taken care of.

All keep bombing them with some yoga videos, if possible hire a yoga instructor as well.

Switch and try to bring them with u if they want to live at blr. Or get a Remote role and live with parents. Choice is urs

I m married now so I really can’t shift back. Mom was diagnosed with cancer if she do anything that lands her in trouble. She has become very sensitive after the recovery that is emotionally and physically.

Personal experience: Have kids and make them play around everything becomes normal for them.

Note: It may or may be good for you. That is subjective.
