Accenture vs Capgemini: Consulting offer experience
My wife has two offers and we’re trying to think this through properly.
Capgemini – Senior Consultant
Accenture – Strategy Analyst
Base pay is more or less the same. Capgemini isn’t offering a joining bonus and the variable is 10% of base. At Accenture, the variable can go up to 20% of base (max).
Her background: 3 years as an SDE, then MBA, and the last 3 years as an HR Manager at Vedanta.
We obviously know Accenture has the stronger brand in consulting/strategy. But we’ve also heard mixed reviews about culture and work environment (some say it can be quite intense/toxic depending on team).
Would love to hear honest feedback from folks who’ve worked in either (especially in strategy/consulting roles). How’s the learning curve, growth, work-life balance, and internal mobility? Anything we should specifically watch out for?
Appreciate any insights 🙏
