Trending @Accenture; Accenture Review: 100% remote work, no office culture.
Accenture has not been a great place to work for me. I have worked here for the last 3 years and it's been a yuck experience.
- If you want to make money, go somewhere else. You won't get paid well here.
- There is no room for growth or advancement within the company. Once you join, you are stuck there forever.
- The only way to move up is by leaving and going somewhere else.
Only people who do well here are those who suck up to management and kiss ass.
Does anyone else feel the same here?

+1

My project suffers from pervasive micromanagement and favoritism.
people in my project are been here since it's born and they are not planning to leave the project until it's sunset, they even admit it openly, often neglecting their duties and distracting others. They just skip the work and keep saying "yaar bohot kaam h" while drawing some stupid pictures in whiteboard and disturbing people who actually have bohot kaam.
They know the stuff and people which helped them climb the hierarchical ladder, taking credit for others' work and they can't even name the tools and stack we've worked on if you ask them.
They are taking Accenture's 50% women quota and policies to their advantage and has led to resentment among male employees, who feel disadvantaged.
My friend believes that the female leaders in our team don't want to include more women because they expect unrealistic speed in learning the project process and its architecture, an expectation even a god couldn't meet.
I'm not being sexiest or women hater here, given my female colleagues has way more rage towards the top brass female employees.
Some people are just terrible, idk if they became like that from their past experiences or it's just their nature.

Agree about women biased culture. My friend who is poor performer got 2 promotions for last 2 years just for being woman. I am still at the same level in spite of my manager being happy with my performance.

Accenture work culture promotes a strict hierarchy which is organized around managers whose primary job is to extract work from employees who can do more work per day. And expand the workforce by impressing the clients with early completion of work.
For this kind of work culture, you don't need smart people but people who are obedient, ready to take orders and not question authority.
Unfortunately, some of us find this kind of culture outdated because we are told that these fancy companies are awesome places to work. The reality is that it's just soft (ware) labour.
Don't let your career get killed here unless you have a good role and have the smartness to navigate yourself into something exciting within the company or you're prepared to drop your brains everyday in the morning.

The Tech leaders are the ones micromanaging each and every details of the project. It might have worked out for them, but I’ve never been comfortable. In the initial days, sure it helped that there was someone to guide me. But now it’s just something I despise, and it adds on as extra work.

In initial career, office culture is imp for growth as well as soft skills development which I realized after working 3 years wfh after joining 2021...

@Techyboy Correct. Then no one wants to hire us because we will bring the same toxicity to their company.

For people with social anxiety, remote work is a dream come true. I willnot say remote work is bad but then for people like me who always gets mocked by others for my style of speech, I find remote work very convenient without getting micromanaged all the time.

Irrelevant work and nothing to learn something new. 😣

100% true.
