The only way you might get it is if you quit or if you catch on to their tricks. So, don't be fooled by the total CTC they offer; focus on the fixed pay instead. The average employees are lucky if they get even 6% variable pay.

Now, let's talk about performance bonuses criteria. There's no clear method for deciding who gets them. They're basically handed out equally, and sometimes the favorites get a little extra. But here's the kicker: there's no real metric or criteria for these decisions. It's all random and depends on your manager's mood that day. There is huge differences between CTCs of people. If you were underpaid, you will remain so coz you might have thought VP would have helped
