Trending @Infosys; About tax deductions

I am currently joined Infosys and I am taxable now. Does Infosys deduct tax from salary, or should I pay separately on income tax. If yes when should I pay this

You are taxable now.. so if you are eligible to pay Tax then Infosys will deduct from your monthly salary.

When was your joining date? Infosys will deduct the tax only if your annual income from Infosys is above the taxable amount for the current FY. If you joined recently then only that much salary will be considered and tax will not be deducted. You will have to pay the tax when you file ITR incase your previous company salary + infy salary for remaining months is above the taxable amount.

Even if you were not taxable in your previous company, you have to add up the salary from the two companies from April 1 2024 to March 31 2025. There will be chance that your total is above the taxable limit and in this case your tax will not be deducted by the company. So, you will have to pay while filling the ITR.
