About career path?

I currently persuing Mechatronics degree, I have good background of IT , Should go to IT or Mechatronics field, in the view of this layoffs

Depends on what you want out of your career. A mechatronics job working in a factory may require you to work 6 day weeks, while most IT jobs are 5 day weeks. You should look at pay parity of both jobs at say 5 years of experience. Mostly IT would be paying more. Also, in case you want to look for a job say abroad in the future, you have to look if your skill is needed in that country. Weigh all these factors before taking a call.
