Abnormal tax deduction

Did you guys also receive abnormal tax deduction this month ?

Mine was like 3X of usual tax deduction.

I have selected new tax regime so nothing like investment proofs which needed to be submitted.

Is it only me ?

Did you get some leaves encashed and maybe that moved you to next tax bracket?

Deducted tax which is more than my leave encashment amount

March is a month wherein your entire balance tax of current FY gets deducted where Jan and Feb they deduct less than usual so March tax deduction feels like 3x but overall of entire Calendar year it becomes net zero once entire left over gets deducted in March
