Yes, they do happen from time to time. The first one happened 12 years ago.
I meant it took 14 years for such a big (this is the biggest one) leak to happen. The protection against such a leak for advanced threat actors has always been non-existent.

This is true as I have seen it myself in the thread posted by op. He even left some samples of 200k Indians mobile number aadhar, physical address, email as a proof of breach. He even posted the database of many government aided schools in India, which he said was easily exploitable. 🙂 This is how safe our data is handled by the govt of India. And someone hacked and gained api access to pariwahan seva and they can look up any users personal info using the vehicle number, which should be well protected and confidential. A big round of applause 🙌 to modi.
This was a powder keg waiting to explode. Aadhar system was broken from the start as the digital infrastructure was time and again proved vulnerable by multiple experts. Let’s wait and see the impact this has on our future.
