A new city for new jobs could be interesting! Thoughts?

Fact Check: KHIR city won't work. The INC is in power. When was the last time they delivered on the governance front? Let alone KHIR, they single-handedly got the metro stranded for a good 10 years.

Never works. Most planned city projects (greenfield) in India to set up some industry have failed. I am hopeful though.

Here's how it works in Bangaluru / Karnataka :
- Politicians and their kin will first buy the land in KHIR city
- Corrupt bureaucrats who are serving 1) faithfully will be next
- BDA officials, clerks, peons working in Registrar's office, BBMP etc.
- Real estate mafia
- Normos and software engineers
So depending on the completion of this cycle, we can expect this khir in our plate.

Electronic City was created for the same purpose. It someone ended up like how it is now ðŸ«

Are metro bana lo pehle bc.. yeh city banake aur traffic badhaege kya bkl.

Bhai airport se satt ke bana do, taake main city tak travel time 1+h na ho

Such cities are good for large MNCs and IT companies only. All startups, banks, HULs of the world etc gonna stick to T1 cities only

I hope they execute it well. Noida is a pretty successful example, serving as extension to Delhi, and at the same time it's a self-sufficient planned city.
The metro work has to go on quite aggressively. The progress on ORR has been pretty good since I relocated to Bengaluru two years back.
