A lot changed in 8 years
8 years is a short time to see the kind of innovation we have witnessed. With Google's Deepmind sitting on a goldmine of data, what is your wildest guess for upcoming innovation?

Next 8 years, and i would love to see Jarvis đź‘€. Now software/ tech part is moving at unimaginable high speed, hardware is the bottle neck for now.

True. Hardware will always continue to be the bottleneck.
Especially because the supply chain can’t move as fast as data does on optical fiber cables.

I think Jarvis or a high quality version of Jarvis will come way sooner IMO. Maybe not everyone will have resource to run it but big firms like Openai , FAANG and other will definitely have it

- Things will be incredibly cheap to buy, because they'll be incredibly cheap to make
- Food will be grown at much larger scale, be easier to produce, and food costs may go down significantly over time
- A lot more medical discoveries would have been done (the first AI developed drugs go to human trials this year) -> we'll live much much longer
Robots for basic househelp. Don't think we're too far from that. Like @GallonMusk says we just need to start cracking hardware from here.

Where we are, I believe the future is going to be disrupted. If sitting today we are able to predict an innovation in a particular time line and get it right, it means that the innovation is slow.
