A loner's Bangalore to Mysore weekend getaway

  1. Is it advisable to go from Bangalore to mysore on a scooty for a weekend? If not, what is the best mode of transport considering I would like to tour around the city?
  2. What are some good places to visit and what area would be good to look for accommodation?

For anyone following the post I decided to go on my own The worst part of driving is the first 50-60 km which will take close to 2 hours Rest 100 km can be completed in a breeze Opt for some lodges. I can suggest the one where I stayed There's not much to see in Mysore, just the regular stuff. Though I would say that Mysore is a place where you can settle down. Good roads, negligible Hindi-Kannada issues, greenery all around, etc.
