Trending @Accenture; A friend met with an accident and damaged their laptop. What next?

Nothing. Just explain to supervisor/manager they will give new. Raise it ticket also

My senior sat on the laptop which he received day before brand new and broke the screen -- Nothing happened got new next day
One of my colleague forgot his laptop while de boarding from train and got lost-- Nothing happened just FIR needed and Asoc request- got new next day

Similar thing with me where over time sleeping on it in bag etc. lead to the screen flickering and with time stopped working, gave them project wbse in the form whatever was there, and got it replaced without any questions. Yes they mentioned physical damage reason, I asked if there's any impact w.r.t on me to the IT inventory team, they said none so and the Dell/HP engineer of Accenture very quickly replaced the screen right in front of me. In the end as soon as the laptop warranty expired, with different technical issue I quoted (battery charge issue etc.), got the whole thing decommissioned and new issued, so no future issues too with the replaced screen laptop.

Most Accenture laptops under warranty have accidental damage protection. Reach out to local IT

Just inform the lead and then raise an incident. The IT asset team will guide you to raise request for new laptop and for decommissioning the old one. Once both requests are approved you will get the new laptop. I broke mine too, and it’s top cover had shattered completely. But nothing was charged. Basically they will ask for project Wbse to get the cost. So no charges on you basically.

Raise an incident, system enablement and decommission request. They will provide free replacement and won't bother about laptop's condition.

Inform your lead and manager and get required approvals to replace the laptop.
