Took me a long time to process this..
Coworkers have ZERO shame when
- the pantry gets restocked
- lunch has leftovers and the guy pulls out his Tupperware .. like .. proper meal prep types
- sweets arrive on Friday and and the guy pulls out his Tupperware .. like .. proper meal prep types
Don't let the HR or Culture team tell you otherwise. They'll drop words like community, sharing, and "core values" But one free hoodie, and suddenly their backpack becomes a black hole.
So greedy..

Babus, with lifetime inflation indexed pension, and free medical facilities don't not feel any shame in taking bribes, indulges in insider trading, why should a common man feel shame?
75 years of independence, every community in this country wants to go backward for reservation benefits. Why should a individual feel shame?
We are a sinking ship, every man for himself.

Haha that escalated quickly. But yeah, at least when it comes to the office pantry, it really is every man for himself.
I've never seen this because we don't get free food or snacks here. But yeah , that's not decent behaviour
