Ownpath Product design fellowship reviews
Hello design folks of grapevine! A friend of mine has some visual design experience and is looking to transition to product design. She was considering joining the Ownpath product design fellowship (https://www.ownpath.com/product-design-fellowship) Any reviews of this program or have any of you been through this fellowship?

I was at ownpath and let me tell you they’re on a downward spiral. The classes are cookie cutter templated, clearly none of the mentors are getting paid and neither is ownpath interested in actually helping fellows land jobs or upskill. It’s a big scam waiting to be unfolded. The founder is ridiculously petty and egoistic to say the least.

This is super useful feedback. Thank you!

Ridiculously petty is correct... Nobody in the company knows what is going on, the founder seems to have a chip on his shoulder despite not really achieving much. There is no value here for students, would highly recommend staying away

I would highly recommend against them. Not the best. They claim to be because of the quality of their mentors, but the classes are erratic. Fellows don’t get guidance when requested, and they offer jobs but only via their ‘design collective’, not otherwise. They only seem to care about getting more fellows over the existing fellows’ welfare.

Damn. This doesn’t sound good at all :/

Ownpath is rudderless and adds zero value to its "fellows" both from a learning and a placement point of view. The founder shreyas is indeed incredibly petty and harbours delusions of grandeur while having accomplished zilch. I'm shocked they've managed to even get as far as they have without completely imploding

Do not recommend any cohort like 10k designers & own path they only teach basic stuff easily available on YT & teaches to build cookie clutter case studies & portfolio...only up side is networking for a whopping price of 90k - 1.2 L

Thanks for this. Really helps!
