My Opinion for Product Based

Pros :
Good Hike and Financial Growth Mostly no Prsessure (as not Client Based) Stability with Long Term Partnership No Switch Required (Hire till Retire Scope) Complete Business Process Ownership and Knowledge

Cons :
Limited Exposure as Mostly Support on Production No Learning Opportunities (makes difficult for further job change) Mundane Work and Day to Day Support More or Less End User Task (nothing such Consulting)

My opinion for Service Based

Pros :
Experience and Exposure Learning opportunities Interesting and Challenging Work Client Interaction Different and Varied Project Experience New Technology Exposure Actual Consulting Roles Tasks

Cons :
Financial Growth restricted Frequent Switch leading to Constant hustle Client Based so Constant Pressure
