Average salary for Product Designer

I have 1 year of experience in product design (UI/UX) and getting approx 6.5 LPA. Completed my graduation last year in Journalism then switched to design. Is the salary ideal or can I expect better salary now?

Depends on your portfolio. A few mockups won't get you much attention.

You can try to get something higher. It’s not unusual to get 12-14 lpa as a junior in good startups

It’s alright for a junior designer. Lead designers are earning >30 lpa. You can be chamari that against yours.

Lead designers usually have 6 yoe.

Now it's becoming a rare opportunity in comparison to the developer's starting salary.

Developer getting 2x amount and sometimes 3x the amount what designers are getting.
