You negotiate, simple. The 90 days is a standard one. It can be negotiated. I have done it myself. Start finding as many excuses as you can. Tell HR that you are not keeping your health well and are planning to move US for so and so operation as it's a hereditary one etc. say your wife is pregnant and will need immediate support and u can't work or something. Make HR realise that this guy isn't gonna show up to work or take work seriously in notice period. So they try to manipulate u saying hey periodic, i talked to senior leadership/management and they said they can make it to 45 days only they can't reduce more than that. Then u also state the ultimatum that, thanks for trying HR (act kindly), i appreciate your help then say even if don't work for last 15 days i think I'm okay with no salary during those 15 days. Then HR understands that the most important thing for which an employee works, (salary), and this guy is ready to give up. Then they have no choice but to reduce it to 30 days or even give u release in 1-2 weeks.
