For me, 86 is one of the best love story anime without any cliche romantic scenes. I think this is what a love story should be to support and motivate your partner and the story portrays that in the ending.

This anime also talks about racism. One of the best dialogues that I liked was "There can be no punishment for a citizenry that's not aware of its crimes".
