6 airbags now becoming a norm slowly

It is a law now. All new cars have to have 6 Airbags Why are they marketing it as a feature 🤦‍♀️

Do airbags really make a car safe though? I mean I wouldn’t mind having just 2 airbags in a car provided it has a strong body, low center of gravity. Ideally any good sedan(VW, Toyota) should do the deed.
