6-8 % hikes in IT firms ?

How is this even justified ? There are a lot of middle managers / so called AVPs or VPs who literally create toxic work environment , hide their incompetency by doing nothing for their team, they just become asslickers, slaves for their senior management. They expect 90 hr work week and then justify 6% hike ? Is this even fair ? I mean if companies literally want to save cost then I think letting go these assholes can be a good start.
