5yoe, Started learning pyspark

Is it right to learn a new technology now? I feel like, the world is moving a far ahead of me, but I am still learning something from basic, that too conventionally. I would appreciate your thoughts, How to better go about it. However, I started it but not rigid on ways of learning it. I would like to maximise my learning, want to know the ways of it.
