5 Years and feeling stuck
Feeling quite low and unsure about where I stand in my career right now.
I have nearly 5 years of experience in a non-tech role, currently working at a Big 4, earning 9 LPA. Honestly, that feels really low for someone at this stage. I have been pushing hard, applying to new roles, trying to upskill, reaching out. but I haven’t heard back from anywhere. Not even rejections. Just silence.
It’s hard not to feel hopeless. The lack of progress is draining. If anyone has been through something similar or has advice, referrals, it would really mean a lot.

I have more exp that 5. So commenting from my experience.
Corporate growth is tapering. Not profit growth but corporate business growth. It's no longer explosive that we saw over the last 20 yrs.
Also we have a substantial middle age population. This means most of us are going to get stuck in the middle hierarchy. In the west there are so many people who would have joined as programmers, admin staff, accounting role and stay the same for 25-30 years. Our country is at that point now.
So unless one is lucky, growth is not going to happen.
