30% Hike Negotiation

I’ve been offered a 30% hike on job switch while I demanded the salary range in the JD which is 100%. I got a lower base according to industry standards currently.

When asked, said the work expectation from the role posted is more than what they think I can do.

Then why even offer me the role?
