These WITCH should get broken, so that professionalism in IT industry is established in Indian ecosystem.
They have killed the environment of professional consultants. All should improve skills to dizzy heights, and simply refuse to.work for.these companies ... establish your own project Contracts, employ 4/5 junior resources and give them double the take home salary that these companies pay. It is doable.
Absolutely agreed. Alot of companies have started doing the same. They are setting up their IT wing in India. Employing Indians to directly work. That is causing panic as well.
Clients are not realising they can easily set up shop here and employ these IT partners they are working for here. Infact with Work From Home they can run things easily. Issue is WITCH has created an illusion that clients coming here and setting up shop is difficult. The best way to do business is through them. But this will change soon.
With Data Protection Laws Coming In and Countries wanting to have their citizens hired first companies the WITCH is catering to, will realise it's better to establish their own companies in India or just directly hire. With alot of migration labour is available in their countries cheaper and data protection is proving to be costly so they would prefer direct hiring.
Tbh WITCH is ripping off both the client and the employees. They charge high to the client per employee and pay 10% of that to the employee. The margin becomes profit and a huge one at that.
WITCH also Capitalises on Laziness of an employee and put them in a false comfort zone. Employees rarely understand this. By the time they realise it's too late. Employee side we should all leverage the free things WITCH provides like udemy or coursera access upskill and get really good at a technology be the best and jump.
Other side is WITCH feels they can still get away by hiring freshers for dirt cheap and they can replace people who want to be paid fair market value. But that will be the double edged sword that would cut them in the long run. Talent especially those who worked hard to build that talent can never be replaces. It's like putting a steel rod on a damaged fuse. Any moment it will break and when it does the whole house will burn.
People and all of us depend on geek for geeks, stack overflow, chatgpt , gemini etc to write code or solve problems now. Clients will realise this soon enough and that will bust this WITCH rush. Only really good people will survive cause just having access to tech doesn't help it's those who know how to use the tech that wins.
We can just focus on our skill set upskill and surpass our limitations. Grind like crazy and make it big. Let WITCH deal with their fate. If they change we'll and good else it will be a good show to watch.
For that to happen, all tier 3 engineering colleges should be banned and abolished. India needs to stop making engineers and maybe even babies
