29 F : I know people now a days are earning 50+ LPA just like that. But…

But I am struggling to manage my work life and personal life . I want to reach till that goal where I can also achieve 50-60lpa in next 1 year. I do try to study but its so confusing, from where to start DSA ,reactjs, react native , express js , backend etc. How can I achieve this goal . I really need to come out of service based companies and get settled in product base with good pay.

30M, haven’t done DSA anytime. Will be joining an investment bank with CTC 55. Investment banks are a good option if you can’t do DSA.

For Data Engineering role, is this applicable?

Short answer - DSA, Designing and good attitude.

Long answer- If you cannot solve problems why would one hire you and offer you 50, 60 or even more? Problem solving is the key and you master that by practicing DSA and Designing.

Good luck!

There is a lot of focus on DSA/Algo in the market. Definately required to crack first 1-2 rounds. With your YOE, if you are applying for a senior engineer I would be looking at much more. -problem understanding
-mentoring capability
-past proj, personal project
-general tech understanding -domain knowledge
-architecture understanding

aim is not to get 100% correct answers from you, aim is to see if you are curious, can you ask correct and required questions.

I once intentionally bored candidates by explaining a problem for around 20+ mins.. most candidates lost interest, lost focus, lost track of actual problem ...
I finally selected the one who didn't give any great answers but asked decent questions after 30 mins of my explanation.

Sorry I may sound demotivating but it may be tough to gain knowledge just by going through.
Make projects and shift to learning and growing attitude even in the current workplace.

What's your skill / domain of expertise / USP? DSA etc. doesn't matter if you don't have anything to bring to the table. You won't even be shortlisted to show your DSA skills in the first place.

So just knowing """DSA""" doesn't matter. In fact many domain specific teams at Oracle don't even do leetcode style interviews.

Instead of trying and learning everything, focus on learning one skill at a time. Choose a Job which pay the amount you want and pursue Certification around the job description itself.
