26F Accessibility Tester Looking to Transition into Product – No MBA, What Are My Options?

Hi everyone,

I’m a 26-year-old woman currently working as an accessibility tester, and I’m really interested in transitioning into a product roles.

The catch: an MBA isn’t an option for me right now due to time and financial constraints

I’d love to hear from people who made a similar transition or work in product:

  1. What skills should I focus on building?

  2. Are there certifications or courses you’d recommend?

  3. How can I leverage my current experience in accessibility testing during the transition?

Thanks in advance for any advice or guidance you can offer!

Create your product from end to end. Run it for few weeks. Nothing better than practical exp. as @Aragorn_urf_Maverick suggested try internally as well

Do the job & simultaneously do a good PM course & apply for APM roles

Try moving into product roles internally within same company. That way you can learn and then move out.
