2.5 YoE. Is it too late to change career and move into different technology?

I've been working on SAP and currently working as a developer in SAP since almost last 1 year. The work is not too much and I earn well as well. But now we are introducing business AI in SAP and I think I'm more suited in this direction, I even like the work I'm doing on AI now. But the scope is very narrow here. Is it too late for me too shift to new tech? If not what should I focus more on now(technology wise, what and where to learn)?

Any idea is appreciated.

Yes, in a career that lasts around 30-40 years, from our early 20s to retirement in 50s-60s, after first 2 years, it is too late to change anything now. 😂 /s

Get a grip man. I personally know people who after retirement from first job at 60, did a PhD in a different area, and now are 15 years into their second career at the age of 75.

It's never too late in life to learn new things and change directions.

I'll take that dig as positive encouragement haha. Some texted in DM to checkout some courses, will look into that as well.

It's not too late. It's the perfect time. I went from finance no code developer -> fullstack developer when I had 2.5 years of experience too. So you can do it too. Fake it till you make it
